About Us

JENESO DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (JDI) is got registered Non-Governmental Organization on 19th May, 2022 with certificate number 180817 from Nigerian cooperate affairs commission. The organization has an operational office at no.37 mangale street, Densawo Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The organization currently engages in improving education and sensitization of communities on infectious diseases such as hepatitis B. This is due to wide gap discovered in the locality of the organization’s founder where school activities have ceased for some significant number of years and has as well lost three (3) cousins to hepatitis B due to poor information on the virus. This is majorly associated to the geographical disadvantage location of the community. This makes it difficult for community members to easily access medical and education services as well as any meaningful developmental intervention.

Heading Layer Hepatitis B Foundation

The study aimed to increase Hepatitis B awareness, testing, vaccination and treatment among residence of Yola and its environs. The study targeted 200 people including hepatitis B key population.

Determine prevalence among different age groups

Screening; Free hepatitis B surface antigen screening for 200 individuals and further screening (profiling, LFT, HCV and RVS) for 10 positive cases.
